I have to go often to Hyderabad to spend time with my daughter's family. During every visit, we used to go to some places of interest like Golconda Fort, Birla Mandir, Charminar, Hyderabad Zoo, the beautiful Hussain Sagar LAKE (TANK BUND),etc. We also went to some resorts on the week ends.
I give below some of the nice memories of such visits.
Golconda Fort(Golkonda fort):
We took a Guide to explain about the various features of the Fort and he was very good in his job. We were surprised to note that he could explain in Tamil also.
The pictures of the view of the city from the Top of the fort and the beautiful sunset view are posted below:
Hyderabad Zoo:
Hyderabad Zoo also known as the Nehru Zoological Park, was established in 1959 and declared open to the public in 1963. The park extends over 380 acres and is a premier recreation spot in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.The Zoo has a wide selection of animals - nearly 3,500 species of birds, animals and reptiles are housed here. My self and my wife went to the Zoo on 29.12.2007 along with my daughter's family and my brother in law's family. All of us enjoyed seeing all kinds of Animals, Birds, Reptiles in their full form in the beautiful environment. We also went for a Safari in a van and could see Lions and Tigers in the open space.
I could capture some of the movements of the white tiger, hippopotamus, gigantic bears etc.
After the visit , I uploaded three videos in Youtube about the visit to the Zoo and the links are given below:

We spent the day in the Garden Resort enjoying the views of different kinds of flowers, the magnificent swimming pool and my Grand daughter had a nice time playing in the Children's park with so many swings, slides and climbing walls etc. We also played some games in the Indoor games area. A very good lunch( as part of the entrance fees) was served to us in the Garden Restaurant.
I took the pictures /video of the beautiful flowers and the majestic white swans swimming in a lake and uploaded the same in You tube. the links are given below:

I give below some of the nice memories of such visits.
Golconda Fort(Golkonda fort):
We went to Golconda fort which is located 11 kms from Hyderabad on 24.12.2007.
The name of Golconda originates from the Telugu words "Golla" and "Konda" which means 'shepard's hill'. One of the most important features of this fort is that the sounds of hands clapped at the entry gate can be heard quite clearly at the top of the hill.
The most important builder of Golkonda was a Hindu Kakatiya King. Ibrahim was following in the spirit of his ancestors, the Qutub Shahi kings, a great family of builders who had ruled the kingdom of Golkonda from 1512. Their first capital, the fortress citadel of Golkonda, was rebuilt for defense from invading Mughals from the north. They laid out Golkonda's splendid monuments which are now in ruins.
